Three icons appear on all screens while working in DT Max.

takes you directly to the client list.

brings you to the data entry screen.

enables you to display the tax return.

The next item is a drop-down box where you can select which filter you want to use. You can also indicate that you only want the print queue or the efile queue displayed.

filters the client list so that only active clients are displayed.

appears only in the T1 program. It puts the client list in "Family" mode. This causes clients to be grouped by families and to be sorted alphabetically by the last name of the family head.

enables you to add a new client to your database using the dialogue box that appears in the centre of the screen.

enables you to locate a client in the client list.

is used to show processing status information. It will bring up a dialogue box indicating everything you need to know about the processing status of your client.

enables you to mark the keywords and tax return as verified.

enables you to print the client list.

is used to efile a client's tax return. Personal efile (T1) and federal corporate efile (T2) are currently available.

is a customization feature used to select the items you want to appear in the client list.

will open DT FileCabinet. If the current DT Max client exists in DT FileCabinet, that client will be selected automatically in DT FileCabinet. If not, the home page will be displayed.

will export basic client data (e.g., name, address, etc.) for the selected clients to DT Practice. This button will only be available if you have enabled integration with DT Practice in the Preferences.

provides context-sensitive help which, in this case, brings up the main help screen for the client list.
